Moving to Tallahassee, FL after growing up in Kansas City. What Florida type beach stuff is around to enjoy?
Q. I'm very excited about my move coming up to Florida, I'll be living in Tallahassee. I've visited FLA many times but never Tallahassee. I love to hang out at the beach, surf a little, scuba dive a little on weekends. What beaches and areas to do these things are a reasonable distance for Tallahassee citizens?

A. Although Tallahassee is 18 miles from the Gulf, its 2-3 hours to the nice beaches. If you like to surf, you'll need to go to Jacksonville (3 hours east) or maybe Panama City (2 hours west). If you're looking for just pretty beaches (white sand, not a lot of trash), Mexico Beach and Destin (just west of Panama City) and great. Where can i find cream cheese wontons in south florida?!?
Q. I recently visited tallahassee florida and ate at this placed called Masa's and i tried cream cheese wontons for the first time and i have to say that now im addicted! But i can't seem to find a place near where i live that has them! I live in south florida so anywhere from palm beach/delray to miami would be great as long as i can find at least ONE restaurtant that has them! I came up with this list: Tallahassee Jacksonville Panama City St. Augustine Pensacola Daytona Beach Tampa/St. Petersburg Naples I already went to Miami and its surrounding areas along with The Keys. I know nothing about the above cities/towns but I keep hearing about them. What is worthy of a visit? Assume price is not a factor.

A. Tallahassee has a lot of stinky paper manufacturing plants so you have to be careful where you stay or you'll be stunk out. Driving through is rough enough. I guess the people who live there get used to it? It's not like they're all over the city - just to the north, I think. Key Largo has a lot of personality but is *very* expensive. So I'm thinking Cocoa Beach would be a nice middle ground.

Going to the St. Joseph Bay Area in Florida tonite, suggestions please?

Trying to transfer into a Florida College with a major in Web Design?
Q. The school I'm trying to transfer into is Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach, Florida. The school I'm currently in is Tallahassee Community College, which in I'm in my last semester. The problem I have is that while I visited Open House in Palm Beach Atlantic, I found out something: That it would only take students into its Graphic Design program (which Web Design is a part of) if they have had a background in Art and Web Design. help me with gas! like car gas.. lol. 10 points!?
Q. okay im going on a trip from tallahassee florida to daytona beach next week and i was trying to figure out about how much money it is going to cost me in gas to get there.. i cant exactly figure out how to figure this out so im hoping someone on here can help me. my car gets 19 mpg highway daytona is 270 miles away gas here right now is $4.03 thanks for the help! :)

A. It should be about $59 per each way and plan on getting at least a tank of gas when you are down there. You can also go to these websites and punch in some numbers they will give you a pretty good estimate of how much it will cost. add them up and take the average. Since gas prices are pretty much changing each day you might want to over budget at least a few dollars. You can also go to these websites to find the cheapest gas stations along your route: Hope this helps you have a great trip!

A. I like Orlando. It's our favorite vacation spot. Plenty to do and the weather in March is a nice break from the cold north. Least favorite would have to be Houston. I can't say I dislike it but just that it's my least favorite. I spent 7 days there for work a few years ago. Just wasn't impressed. Flat, lots of petrochemical plants and many corner stores selling cowboy boots.
