Asked by soul_cade - Sat Jan 19 21:34:47 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. Looks like a rub-n-buff technique. I like water based products so here's how I would do it.. 1. Base coat the surface with a wood undertone color 2. Brush on EF stain color of your choice. 3. Buff it with a rag while it is drying.(or brush thru with a reallly soft brush) 4. Do a second coat of EF stain and buff it out with a soft rag. 2nd coat will help break it up so it looks soft and not too streaky. (again a soft brush will help esp if you want a directional quality to it) 5.Let dry and coat with clear flat or satin. I like the EF stain because it is like pudding. Very condusive consistency for achieving the look.
