The section of Philadelphia that I live in is quite nice and has less than a 1% unoccupied dwelling rate. In sections of the city that are filthy, crime and drug infested have a much higher unoccupied dwelling rate and everyone has tons of roaches. Are roaches attracted to unoccupied dwellings? I have never seen a roach in my life and no one in my neighborhood has either. The streets in the roach infested parts of the city are littered with trash, but I am sure they keep their houses clean - so why would they have roaches? Are they attracked to the filth that lines the streets? Do they simply like the smell of crack? What damage do roaches do to a home? Do they carry disease? Sometimes roaches like to move around to find places for shelter and food xD So maybe they like the smell of the dirty stuff and thinks it's someting to eat like rotting banana or egg xD Roaches don't really do damages that much except they do smell weird and sometimes they steal your food or take a bite out of it xD And they are nasty ___Some carry germs and viruses but most of them won't kill you ___and they are attracted to trash because trash has lots of food related things inside___and mostly one dirty house on the block can make the roaches think that all the houses are like that so they check every house or just the houses next to it xD Answered by rsonbie456 - Mon Jul 2 14:47:20 2007 What is the best way to get rid of roaches? Q. My husband and I are staying with my in-laws and their house is just downright infested with roaches. I never had this problem before, because I am not dirty and disgusting and when we leave here, I really don't want to take them with us. I have tried Boric Acid, Boric Acid mixed with food and peanut butter and jelly and all kinds of stuff, I have tried roach spray, bombing and they can't afford to hire an exterminator. Right now, we have sticky roach paper down. I have tried spraying alcohol around and nothing seems to be working. It is so disgusting and I really want nothing more than to get rid of them. Can someone please help? I also want to add that we have tried that Combat Gold Gel and it sucks too, and Roach Motels. Asked by AspynnsMommy - Wed Aug 15 18:04:23 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. if its that bad call an exterminator the 1st time they come is kind of expensive but the follow ups are reasonable its well worth the peice of mind Answered by cuffsnstuff364 - Wed Aug 15 18:09:43 2007 how do you get roaches when you keep a really clean house?
Q. I live in a house, not an apartment. I've been here since 2001 and started seeing roaches popping up in the kitchen over the last 2 months. I make sure all dishes are washed before I go to bed, countertops, the whole 9. So where the hell are they coming from and why? Asked by CK - Sun Sep 2 02:49:13 2007 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments A. Roaches breed in certain flower beds especially when you have mulch, they also live in Oak trees. I live in a rural area and they can be bothersome. I keep the outside of the house sprayed and the window seals too... Make sure you spray underneath the cabinet around the drain. Walmart sells a gel in a tube can't for the life of me remember the name of it but it works, ( I think its by Combat). Roaches get in no matter how clean you keep your house. Roaches can also come into your home in bags or someone can bring them in without knowing... Just make sure you spray make sure there is no water spilled on the counters or floors... When you see 1 roach there is more somewhere in your home... There is also another product I just thought of,… [cont.] Answered by ladyj - Sun Sep 2 05:19:57 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "roaches" |
