A. www.cic.gc.ca is the immigration web site. Basically you have to have something to offer Canada, and the one of you that has the most to offer (points by education, skill, training, languages) should be the primary applicant for permanent resident status, if you can claim common-law spouse. Animals really aren't much of a problem as long as you have proof of their vaccination history. It is much more complicated for people but the web site details the things you must do and lets you add up your points and see if you will likely be accepted.

What do you think about Canada trying to get the US to change environmental laws so they can sell more oil?
Q. The US currenlty refuses to buy oil from canada from any new sites. The US will only buy oil from old sites. But canada wants to drill in new sites, and they want the US to buy it. Canadian lobbyists are all over Washignton trying to get the law changed. What do you think of this. Why do you think the media does't cover it. And do you think it's okay for canada to do this because it's canada. How would you feel if Americans did this?

A. ok :T J , first of all we are NOT occupying Haiti, we don't have anything to do with Haiti except that our governor general is from there. Also, we are not interested in "trashing" the U.S. . Why don't you get your facts straight, you narrow-minded bigot. In regards to the question, Canada is not imposing laws to sell more or less oil. I'm sure that if we did change the laws it wouldn't matter.

What is Canada doing to protect Canadians against the H1N1 virus?
Q. The Public Health Agency of Canada has listed this on its website (last modified April 26) "Vaccine A vaccine is any preparation intended to produce immunity to a disease by stimulating the production of antibodies. Canada has a plan for a vaccine to be produced domestically if a pandemic occurs, which will take about six months once the virus is identified. Enough pandemic vaccine will be produced to cover all Canadians." Now that the virus has been declared a pandemic, what action is the government taking?

A. Canada is not taking the pandemic seriously. Five students got the H1N1 at Coquitlam-area schools in BC. None of the schools were shut down. H1N1 is the same strain as the 1918 Spanish Flu. Look at the fatality rates of every know flu pandemic Asiatic (Russian) Flu 1889 90 1 million died, possibly H2N2 Spanish Flu 1918 20 to 40 million died, H1N1 Asian Flu 1957 58 1 to 1.5 million died, H2N2 Hong Kong Flu 1968 69 0.75 to 1 million died, H3N2 So we know at least one million people will die if there is a flu pandemic this fall and they don't want to close a school because of final exams? Canada should be cancelling the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics which is scheduled right in the peak of flu season. Washing hands is good. … [cont.]

What is Canada doing towards the foreign sale of water and diversion of water?
Q. I would like to know what Canada is doing in the foreign sale of water, such as what they are selling, how much and too where. I would also like to know information about the diversion of water in Canada, websites and reports would be appreciated if they could be provided! Thanks

A. The link is a case study on this very issue. Stopping water diversions from Canada to the US. I'll quote the start and attach the study as a link. 1. The Issue Canada is attempting to ban its massive exports of fresh water to its neighbors including the United States. Canada believes that water will become the most essential environmental source in the next century. The United States on the other hand, has always been refusing this ban that may harm other nations who lack such a vital source. Canada, as it holds a fifth of the world s fresh water supply, fears to face a huge environmental problem if it carries on shipping a huge quantities of water to external nations.

How can Canada protect its claimed northern lands and borders?
Q. There seems to be more than just a gentleman's disagreement between countries in regard to the sovereignty of huge areas of the Arctic . If a powerful nation moves in and develops waters or basins considered Canada, what would Canada do? Could Canadians have the gall to ask the Yanks for help, after years of spitting at their southern 'neighbors'?
Asked by screaming monk - Sun Jun 29 22:51:15 2008 - - 6 Answers - 1 Comments
A. The canadian and US "disagreement" is only localized in certain social groups. The US's greatest trade ally is Canada and though, as with every country to another, there have been disputes, at the moment, we are working very well with Canada and Likewise. Also on a side not not from the source If you asked for help up north it would allow us to set up legalized bases at closer vantages to some northern non-allied countries like North Korea.

What is the IRS in Canada? What certification does it take to prepare taxes for Canada?
Q. Also what does it take to become a CPA in Canada? Who is the advisory board for CPA's in Canada?
Asked by Captain - Mon Mar 10 05:16:00 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Our equivalent of the IRS is the Canadian Revenue Agency, the CRA Truthfully, it doesn't take any certification to do taxes (some tax places hire people off the street, and give them some training) although there are courses available. CPA is an American designation, but it is respected in Canada. Many Canadians get one, and you can get a job with one (the US is our biggest trading partner, after all). There are three formally recognized financial designations in Canada: Chartered Accountant (CA); Certified General Accountant (CGA); and Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

They are a chain, so there's a few of them in town. i link the website so You can view the menu. (2) you wanted nature, well thats easy, in Niagara falls there is lots of hiking spots, my favourite spot is called the Niagara gorge. To get to it, go left on the Niagara Parkway(away from the falls) (3)Historical sights, when i was in college i worked at Historic Fort Erie, so i recommend… [cont.]

Canada is a west east country trying to survive in a north south continent. What does it mean?
Q. It might be because the US has more varied temperatures than Canada because Canada is more narrow and stretches west to east but i think it has something to do with Canada's landform regions. Thank you.
Asked by Hiba A - Sat Oct 18 19:21:23 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The geography is very similar. The Rockies are in the same place, the most fertile land is in the same place, between the Rockies and the Great Lakes. The only major difference is the Canadian Shield, which limits agriculture in the East, but it makes up for it with easy access to minerals. I stand by my first answer. Climate limits development to the north so it has to spread east-west.

Is Canada the answer to the American open/illegal immigration problem?
Q. The Canadian economy seems to be doing well and, from everything I've heard, needs more workers. Canada has great benefits and, from what I've seen, Canadians preach acceptance of "multi-culturalism." Would Canada/Canadians openly accept the large number of illegal immigrants crossing the Mexican border into the US seeking better economic prospects that seemingly the majority of Americans oppose their presence? Would those coming from "South of the border" into the US find Canada a suitable home? Should some sort of pipeline (ie a train or bus system) be built through various points of the US's Southern border into points of Canada to get people there to work? Would this be acceptable to all, to none, to some or is this a ridiculous… [cont.]

How would Canada be different if there had been no immigration?

A. Who knows. It could be better, worse, or the same. I wonder what any country would be like if there were no invasions, colonizations, immigration, mass migrations, settling of itinerant cultures, etc. However, there would not be many of the good things we have today in the world, if it were not for immigration of some kind. Yes, there are some bad things too, as a result...but you gotta take that with the good.

A. www.cic.gc.ca There is no cheap and easy way to immigrate to Canada. There is currently a backlog of around 900,000 and Canada only admits 250,000 per year. Legislation was passed recently to speed up the process, but it is likely that it will speed it up by raising the bar for entry. If you go to the website you will see that they suggest that you don't bother applying if you don't have the required points.

A. Here's the assessment process, below. You need at least one year, preferably two of experience before you can apply and the application takes about two years to complete if you are accepted. There aren't a lot of job vacancies at the moment but things might improve in four years.

A. If you've already printed the shipping label, the measurements are specified in order to pay for the shipping price. You just have to attach the label onto the package and put it in the mail. For instance, if you chose "Thick envelope or small package" it will calculate for you. However, it asked for the weight to charge your account for the label. You may wish to verify what you entered.
